We Need your Help!

Welcome to Heart to Heart with Honeydew! This week, I give you my favorite resource for mindfulness and we discuss what to do with chronic back or neck pain. I also ask for your help!

Struggling with mindfulness? Or maybe you're not even sure what that means!

Recently, I started listening to the Daily Calm on the Calm app. It provides a quick (~10-minute) guided meditation experience designed to help calm the mind and reduce stress.

The session is led by experienced meditation teachers who guide you through deep breathing, body scans, and visualization exercises, to help you achieve a state of relaxation and centeredness.

I've been there...

Back pain that just never ends. And I know many people notice that it's even worse after sleeping! So here are a few tips to help:

Find a comfortable pillow: The right pillow can make a big difference in reducing neck and back pain. Look for a pillow that is the right thickness and shape for your sleeping position (back, stomach, or side).
Adjust your sleeping position: Try sleeping on your back or side with a pillow between your knees for added support.
Stretch before bed: Doing some gentle neck and shoulder stretches before bed can help loosen any tight muscles and reduce tension.
Invest in a good mattress: A supportive mattress can help keep your spine in proper alignment.

These are just a few tips, but if you're still not noticing relief make sure to visit your doctor for a proper evaluation and treatment plan.
